Do it Yourself (DIY) implementation
In our experience, this rarely works. Implementing a manufacturing system is complicated and can be intimidating. It is possible to do it on your own, and we have customers who have done it, but you will save a lot of time and aggravation if you work with someone who has experience implementing MISys Manufacturing software.
MISys Manufacturing SureStart Program
We started the SureStart program to give the DIY’ers the assistance needed to implement MISys Manufacturing successfully. It works. SureStart consists of the following:
(1) Appointment-based coaching for data conversion and system set up,
(2) Online training classes for the users in your company, and
(3) Technical Support to assist with software installation and operating questions.
Data Conversion and Set-Up Coaching
Within one week after software activation, a SureStart Coach will contact you. Your coach is your adviser, drawing on years of experience and an intimate knowledge of MISys Manufacturing software. He will guide you in the set up of your system based on your particular business needs, and coach you in converting/entering your data to MISys Manufacturing. You will need to appoint a project leader to set up and manage appointments with the coach.

Online training
MISys Manufacturing experts conduct interactive training sessions online every two weeks. The sessions are offered every day over five days. Anyone in your company can attend these training sessions as many times as they want during your SureStart program. MISys has also recorded the sessions and edited them into short, 2-5 minute videos that are very topic specific.
That is available to you 24-7.
Technical Support
Standard Technical Support (via email) starts day-one, providing assistance on technical and functional issues. All Standard Technical Support requests are answered within one business day.
If an issue comes up between the scheduled appointments with the SureStart coach, contact Technical Support for functional and technical assistance .
Our Silver and Gold SureStart programs include Priority Technical Support (via telephone) for 6 and 12 months respectively, providing more prompt assistance than Standard Technical Support.
Hire an Implementation Professional
You may want to hire someone not only to guide you through the implementation process but to also do the work required. MISys has worked with many talented business partners over the years and can recommend experienced software implementation consultants. These Implementation Partners will provide you with an estimate of their cost that reflects the scope of the project. For many companies it makes sense to bring in an expert to shorten the time it takes for implementation and to leverage the features of the software. A rule of thumb is that for every dollar you spend on software you will spend $1-$2 in consulting fees for implementation.
